Hayloft Hoedown (1948)
Hayloft Hoedown was an early American country music television series on ABC-TV from July 10 - September 16, 1948, on Saturday nights from 9-9:30 p.m. Eastern Time. The program, one of the first on ABC, was televised from Town Hall in Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The show included square dancing, yodeling and comedy routines and was hosted by Elmer Newman, who doubled as "Pancake Pete." The cast included:

Jess Rogers
Wesley Tuttle
The Sleepy Hollow Gang (Elmer Newman, Julie Murray, Monte Rosci, Sophie Murray, Pee Wee Miller and Pete Newman)


The show began in December 1944 as a radio program broadcast live from the Pythian Temple on WFIL-AM, and moved to ABC Radio in 1945.
