Siege of Autun (356)
In 356 AD, Roman Emperor Julian received a report that Augustodunum (Autun) was under attack by a group of Alamanni and that as a result of the poor state of repair of the walls, the city was in danger of falling. He marched to Autun and relieved the siegeGoldsworthy, Adrian. In the Name of Rome, Weidenfeld and Nicolson, 2003, p. 343.
