Meet Teresa and Lavonne Bjelland, the dynamic duo behind The Uff Da Sisters—a brand born from a love of Norwegian heritage and a knack for storytelling. As sisters inspired by their lineage, they've embarked on a mission to spread joy, wisdom, and a dash of Nordic charm through their imaginative works.

With a twinkle in their eyes and a passion for education and inclusion, Teresa and Lavonne have curated a collection of engaging children's books, dolls, stickers and free activities. Their goal? To infuse daily life with threads of tradition and kindness, enriching the lives of families everywhere.

When they're not penning enchanting tales or dreaming up new adventures, you'll find Teresa and Lavonne indulging in their love of travel and quality time with family. Their shared passion for their Norwegian roots fuels their storytelling, as they weave tales that celebrate their heritage and impart valuable life lessons along the way.

Under the banner of Nordic Heart Press, Teresa and Lavonne have established a haven for their imaginative works, inviting readers of all ages to embark on unforgettable journeys through the pages of their beloved Gnome Adventure Series and other delightful tales. With each story they tell, they hope to inspire love, compassion, and respect, one reader at a time.

But The Uff Da Sisters aren't just storytellers—they're advocates for learning and connection. Through their books, dolls, and online resources, they aim to create an atmosphere of discovery and exploration, where families can come together to learn, laugh, and grow.

So why Norway, you ask? Well, as descendants of Norwegian immigrants, Teresa and Lavonne have a deep-rooted connection to the land of fjords and folklore. With family still in Norway and a passion for Nordic customs, they draw inspiration from their heritage to craft stories that resonate with readers around the world.

And as for their business name? "Uff Da" may be a bit of an Americanized expression, but for Teresa and Lavonne, it encapsulates the spirit of their brand—a playful nod to their Norwegian roots and a reminder to embrace life's ups and downs with a hearty dose of humor.

So, whether you're a curious reader, a devoted fan, or simply someone who appreciates a good story, join Teresa and Lavonne on their quest to spread love, compassion, and a touch of whimsy to all who venture into the enchanting world of The Uff Da Sisters. Skål!

...is what we all long for. Gnome considers the type of home and family he will have and decides as long as the home is filled with love he will be happy. Sweet story draws upon the value of strong family ties. I highly recommend the book.

Known as Tomte or Nisser to Scandinavian people, gnomes have a rich history of helping the families they live with. This book tells the tale of a little gnome on their way to their new home and all the excitement and anxiousness of that journey.

I love the diversity in this book. The expressions of what truly makes a home a home makes this book a great read for young children. I also loved learning new Norwegian words. Can't wait for more in the series.

Great use of a gnome to explain cross-cultural situations. Reminds me of when our three adopted Chinese grandkids became part of a broader U.S. family.
